What a difference good classroom lighting makes!

In the two pictures below, you are looking at exactly the same room. The light fixtures are the same. The number of lamps is the same. The only changes made were replacing the parabolic louvers on the light fixtures with "plain vanilla" prismatic plastic...and... lightening the wall colors.
Hard to believe how important
brightness on the walls is to whether we feel a room is well lit.
Once again, there are
no more lamps in the "after' picture than in the "before" pic.
Even the chairs and the floor tile are the same!
Wherever possible, lighting classrooms with what designers call "layers of light" is even more effective. See the
