Determining the throw distance for LCD projectors

In planning renovations or new construction, you don't want light fixtures and HVAC diffusers to end up right where you need to place a ceiling-mounted video projector. So... you need to know the typical distances that the video projector will require.

The throw distance is based on the size screen that you have previously selected on the page Sizing screens for video projection

Note: Remember that various manufacturers use different size panels in the projector's guts.

So...while the table below gives "typical" distances, your projector may give different results. Always check with the manufacturer to be sure.
